My Career

I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and I am currently working toward my master’s degree in organizational leadership. Continuing my education is one way I am investing in myself and working toward the future I want.

For the past five years, I have worked for a large financial company, where I have continued to grow my skills and learn more about the importance of creating a positive customer experience.

I am a people person at heart. I enjoy helping others, solving problems, and making sure customers feel heard and cared for. I believe that even when we cannot give someone exactly what they hoped for, the way we treat them can still make a difference.

I am also part of a leadership development program because one of my biggest career goals is to manage my own department someday. I want to keep learning, take on new challenges, and become someone my team can trust and feel comfortable coming to.

Of course, growth is not always easy! I am currently working on improving my Excel skills, and that has definitely tested my patience at times. But I am making progress, and I am proud of that.

One of the biggest blessings in my professional journey has been having a wonderful manager who has taken me under her wing. She has been patient with me, encouraged me, and taken the time to help me learn. I am incredibly grateful for her support and everything she has taught me.

She has shown me how much of a difference a good manager can make. I hope that one day I can be that person for someone else.

The Kind of Leader I Hope to Be

When I think about my future, I don’t just picture myself sitting in a manager’s office or having a new title. I picture the kind of team I want to build.

I want to create a workplace where people feel comfortable being themselves, asking questions, sharing ideas, and learning from their mistakes. I want my team members to know that their contributions matter and that I genuinely care about their success.

I believe everyone has strengths, even if they have not discovered them yet. Sometimes, people just need someone to believe in them, give them a little encouragement, and help them see what they are capable of accomplishing.

That is the kind of leader I want to be.

My own experiences have taught me that patience and support can make learning something new feel a little less intimidating. I want to remember that as I grow in my career and eventually have the opportunity to lead a team of my own.

My goal is to lead with empathy, encourage growth, and help people feel valued for who they are and what they bring to the table.
